bunnies.

lucy got to bring home two bunnies from school yesterday and they were quite a hit with all the neighborhood kids.  my kids immediately started asking if they could keep one.  i'm not going to lie, i definitely had a moment of trying to figure out in my brain, where we could keep them, if it would be better to get two or one, etc.  i mean, come on, could you get a cuter easter morning present?  then i remembered that i don't like poop and animals tend to do that, so i thought better of it.  but looking at these pictures again, it is awfully tempting...

ok, so we had a book when we were kids about a girl that gets a new kitten and the kitten causes all kinds of trouble. she even names the cat "pickle" because it is always getting in a pickle. clever. anyway, these pictures immediately reminded me of that book, esp. Jack's awesome retro nikes, which the girl (her name was jenny) wore in the book (only hers were blue). gosh, i can't believe i remember that book so well. here i go to look for it on amazon... your kids might need it. and i've often considered bunnies, only i read they can squeeze through very small spaces and often go missing. like, where's the bunny?! oh, here he is, under the couch again. or shoot, is that a puffy tail under the washing machine?

blah blah. miss you guys. obviously.

here it is: The Little Kitten. Unfortunately, Google reader doesn't let you look far enough to see the shoes. But it's an awesome throwback book -- makes you feel all 80s inside.
