funny

i think any parent will say there is no sound better than that real hard belly laugh that their child gives up when they find something to be extremely funny.  jack and finn both have that laugh that comes from down deep.  with lucy it is a little different.  she is definitely the easiest to make laugh and seems to find the most humor in life, but with her it is always a laugh that should be qualified more as a giggle.  if she finds something to be truly and legitimately funny, it is definitely a high (and hysterical) giggle that comes exploding out of her.  i love it.  i hope it never goes away...

on another note, lucy is, herself, a very funny kid.  the other day in the car she told me, "mom, finn and i are the funniest in our family.  we always make people laugh."
"what about jack?  and dad?  dad always makes you guys laugh." i added.
"oh, yeah.  so, me and finn and jack and dad are all the funniest in our family.  you're the only one that's not funny, mom."
thanks a lot.
lucy recently made up a game where she asks "guess what?" and if you say "what" in response she comes back with this ridiculous noise she made up, something like "p-p-p-ch" (think you are in kindergarten and you are just learning to make those sounds...).  so, now she, jack, finn and pete all try to get each other.  the funny thing is, lucy is extremely hard to get.  i honestly thing there is something in how her brain works that she is always thinking about this game she made up.  pete can say to her out of nowhere, "hey lucy, guess what?"  and she will just respond, "i know what you're going to say..."  she certainly is a funny little thing...

she also hates shoes.  i can send her outside with shoes and within minutes they are nowhere to be found.  so most of the time her feet look like this...

you can only imagine the bathtub when she climbs in...
