the downtown library

(it's actually called burton barr central library, but my kids prefer "downtown library")
so last week we rode the light rail down for some coffee and a visit to the library.  their kids' section is really great and they have a little outdoor reading garden connected to it.  the biggest hit of the trip, however, were the glass elevators.  we rode them up to the top and back down several times.  the elevators come down into a sort of pool of water on the ground floor (calling it a fountain doesn't seem right because it is just still water... ya know what i mean?), that finn kept insisting it would be all right if he climbed in...

if anyone wants to head down there now that the weather is so beautiful, let us know...
