an update from the farm

sooooo, i think we have a rooster...

(which, by the way, is technically illegal... something about proximity of other houses, etc.). he has been looking more and more like a rooster these last few weeks. the crown on his head has outgrown henrietta and most recently his tail feathers have definitely been starting to stand straight up. he walks like a rooster, carries himself like a rooster and tends to give poor old henny a good chasin' around the yard. then this morning i woke up to an interesting noise. it sounded kind of like a hinge that needed some wd40. then i realized it was definitely some kind of animal outside. my first thought was that the ducks had finally decided to attack the squirrel that keeps threatening their food. i looked out the window and saw queenie (probably not the most appropriate name for a rooster) attempting to give a good early morning crow (cock-a-doodle-do, kiki-riki... you know, something like that). looks like we are going to need to do some adjusting in the pet department...

oh, and remember those cute little ducklings we got not even two months ago. hello, full grown ducks...

they do all seem to like each other and make for one happy little family all snuggled in there together. what will they do without the leader of their silly little pack?

This is so funny! I can't believe it, so do you have to get rid of him?
