jack's kindergarden year...

i can't believe its over. having a kid in kindergarden was mind blowing. having a kid finished with kindergarden... i can't even think about it. i am not a very emotional person and it takes a lot too make me cry, but for some reason every time i think about this i start to tear up... i am just not ready to give him up to full-day school (kindergarden was half-day... as it should be...) from now until he goes off to college. it is just too much...
having said that, i know i could not have been happier with jack's kindergarden experience. he had the most wonderful teacher on the planet (honestly, i don't think, ok, i know we wouldn't have made it through the year without mrs. hundelt), in the most perfect little montessori classroom, with the sweetest group of kids you have ever seen. i love this class.
finn and i went in this morning for the class party to bring a treat (i made this into cupcakes) and help out. they also got root beer floats and played bingo. good times...

guess who won the first round of bingo?

yeah, he's not competitive or anything...

finn played with this cute barn (or stared wide-eyed at the chicks) the entire time we were there...

and here are the sweet little chicks they hatched this spring in their class. of the 13 eggs they started with, 7 chicks hatched. finn thinks they are the just about the greatest thing ever. he keeps talking about how he is going to hold one and then it will fly out of his hands. not sure where this came from, but he keeps talking about it. too bad they grow up to be nasty big chickens...

and this is the photo i put together as a gift for all the kids...

Nice class pictures. I bet the mom's were super excited about them. They are way better than the professional ones that they always do... not that those don't have some sentimental value. Also, the picture of Jack winning is hilarious! He is just like Pete.
